After You Get a Crown
- Soft diet – no sticky foods or candies until you receive your new crown.
- Do not floss in the area of your temporary crown as this will likely remove your temporary prematurely.
- Do brush gently in and around area of temporary crown.
- Realize that some sensitivity may occur to hot or cold drinks as temporary crowns are generally thinner than your new crown will be.
- If you feel any severe pain or pain that wakes you up at night, call us immediately as this may mean you need further treatment before your crown can be placed.
- You may take over the counter pain meds if necessary. Your soreness should only last for a couple of days if you have any discomfort at all.
- Call our office if any concerns.
